Lowering the Cost of 1000+ Channel Vibration Testing
Data reduction systems with or without gap-free time history recording to throughput disk are frequently used in critical aerospace testing applications for post-test and possible failure analysis. This technique supplements the number of monitor channels available using lower cost data acquisition followed by post-processing using the m+p VibControl data reduction tools for common analysis and reporting. On-line reduction has the additional benefit of dual redundancy provided by two systems capturing data in the most critical of applications. Both the m+p VibControl shaker control system and m+p SO Analyzer DSA systems have this capability for sine, random, classical shock and SRS tests. The online reduction system supports hundreds or even thousands of channels using m+p international’s precision instrumentation.
